An Argonaut Dynamic Visual Work Instruction (DVWI) application is used by a Global Automotive OEM to quickly launch a new facility, with a new staff, using new process arrangements. 


This OEM was launching a new specialized build center focused on higher complexity lower build-rate units. They faced challenges adopting typical low takt-time processes into new stations where each individual operator is responsible for up-to nine times the amount of work done in the existing manufacturing facilities. 


The Argonaut based DVWI application was selected and integrated in under 3 months. The solution assisted a newly hired workforce to quickly train and ramp up to the full rate. Using DVWI provided the entire team with capabilities they otherwise wouldn’t have had:


  • Industrial engineers and process coaches are provided with easy tools update process instructions. There’s no need to update product books on the factory floor.


  • Operators are automatically shown data from the correct vehicle, with real time takt-time and batch information displayed. The newest instructions are always shown


  • Supervisors and Team leaders have process boards showing real-time status from all connected stations. They are able to gain insight from the line with a glance, and provide help where needed
